CLOSED: Thanks everyone for entering this giveaway, it was certainly interesting to read people's favourite pieces. The winner has been chosen ... it's Amelia! Comments are now closed for this giveaway.
I don't usually do many giveaways on my blog. I also tend to get the most dodgy requests for some that leave me feeling suspicious every time I get a request. But when Barry Friedland from Thumbtack Press asked if I would be interested in doing a giveaway, I said yes. I did a post on Thumbtack Press a little while ago and I like the whole concept behind this website and the idea of affordable art. But I do want to make this clear since there is so much cynicism about these types of posts: no, I'm not getting paid for this (I don't get paid for anything on my blog, if anything, my blog costs me money), and no, I'm not receiving any 'gifts' for doing this post either. I said yes out of a simple and honest desire to promote the work of the many artists on Thumbtack Press.
So here's the deal: Barry is offering my readers the chance to win a free print of their choice from Thumbtack Press. Free art! To enter this giveaway, you have to:
1. Visit Thumbtack Press and select a print you would like to own (you can browse by artist, subject, genre, size, colour, etc.).
2. Leave a comment here letting me know your selection.
3. A winner will be chosen at random on 5 April (Thursday, next week). The winner will also be announced on Facebook.
Good luck everyone!
P. S. I have a really busy week ahead of me, so I'm taking a small break from the blog until next Monday. In the meantime, feel free to enter the giveaway and have a great week.
Image sources: All images are from Thumbtack Press.
EDIT: Just a quick note to say that due to the big time difference between Australia (where I live) and America, I'll be closing this giveaway on Friday morning (6 April) Australia time, which is Thursday (5 April) in many places in America. Just to be fair to everyone.
